According to the book Water Infusions: Refreshing, Detoxifying and Healthy Recipes for Your Home Infuser by Mariza Snyder and Lauren Clum, the primary job scope of a Spa Water Chef is “to create unique water recipes that restore, replenish, and aid relaxation.”
If you visit FoodNetwork.com, there’s even a recipe called “Spa Water” which basically and technically, comprises one orange, lemon and lime slices, and half a pink or white grapefruit, with a cup of mint leaves to be mixed into a clear pitcher and filled with ice water. This recipe was concocted by a professional chef named Chef Scott Leibfried.
Proper hydration equates to good health. And water is the source of life, isn’t it? So we should all drink up and replenish ourselves with good ol’ plain water. But why are people taking sliced citrus fruits thrown in a jug of iced water or infused drinks, and perhaps even substituting water with these drinks?
